S1E2- Wendigo

Kidnapping! Flesh-eating monsters! Flare guns! This episode brought a whole lot of creepy flying at you by a hell of a scary monster.

Any episode that takes place in the middle of the woods, filled with abandoned mines and grizzly bears, coupled with a cannibalistic man-creature is bound to be filled with moments that will make you jump out of your skin. Which is always fun, of course.

I also really liked that even though this is only the second episode, you feel connected to both Sam and Dean, especially when they share quiet moments between all the monster hunting.  The one in this episode particularly; Dean encouraging his brother to take a breather, and not let his anger at whatever killed his girlfriend control his actions, or prevent him from seeing the good they can be doing. They may be looking for their father, but if there is a situation where their knowledge and skills are able to prevent people from being hurt or killed, then they should do everything they can to do just that. A conversation that definitely warmed me up to Dean further. (His clever M&Ms trail to the monster was pretty cool too. And his shameless flirting was a little funny.)

Also worth noting, there was a small cameo by Cory Monteith, best known for his role of Finn from Glee, which was a "Hey look!" moment that amused me.
